This April Ibraaz officially launches its reviews section, with critical reflections on exhibitions in Dubai, Beirut, Sharjah, London, Hong Kong and New York by writers including Malu Halasa, Fawz Kabra, Nat Muller, and Sheyma Buali. In interviews, we are pleased to publish a conversation with Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian on the occasion of her survey exhibition in Dubai and, in a follow on from our Ibraaz Talks series launched at Art Dubai in 2013, a video interview between Omar Kholeif and Guy Mannes-Abott on drone fiction.

On 7th May, Ibraaz will launch Platform 005, one of the most ambitious platforms we have conducted to date. With original essays, interviews, and projects, this platform will enquire into how globalisation has affected visual cultures and artistic production across North Africa and the Middle East.
We will publish work by GulfLabor, Ahmad Zaatari, Walter Mignolo, Sara Giannini, and Hanan Toukan, amongst others, alongside exclusive interviews and original artist projects with artists and collectives including Visualising Palestine, Marwa Arsanios, Raed Yassin, Cynthia Zaven, Lasse Lau and Adelita Husni-Bey.
Ibraaz is also pleased to announce its partnership with Winchester School of Art in a two-day conference: '10 Years On: Art and Everyday Life in Iraq and Iran' to be held at The Mosaic Rooms in London, 7-8 June 2013. Ibraaz can confirm the participation of Wafaa Bilal, Jananne Al-Ani, Payam Sharifi, Rijin Sahakian, Omar Kholeif, and Adel Abidin, in a panel chaired by Ibraaz's editor Anthony Downey.
This will be followed by a second conference organised with SOAS and the London Middle East Institute in July. More details will follow in May.
